The ASU's "Diesel Additive" entry has not only won the awards from the 17th RSRDH, it also gained the attention and interest of other concerned agencies. This study has been recently chosen by the Department of Agriculture (DA) to receive a funding of around P2M due to its promising results.

The symposium, which was an annual activity of the Western Visayas Agriculture and Resources Research and Development Consortium (WESVARRDEC) in cooperation with its member agencies, was held to carry out its mission of harnessing the individual talents of assets and resources of member agencies for a more significant contribution to agriculture and natural resources, R and D sectors towards advancing regional development.
