Capitol releases assistance to families affected by typhoon "Goring" in 6 LGUs

Negros Occidental (25 September) -- The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental through its Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) released close to 300 bags/boxes of rice, sardines and noodles as relief assistance to 8,842 families affected by typhoon "Goring" recently.

Governor Joseph Marañon provided the assistance to the local government units of Bago, Ilog, Pulupandan, San Enrique, Valladolid and EB Magalona.

Valladolid and San Enrique, both having been declared to be under a state of calamity, were provided 30 bags of rice each and a total of close to 60 boxes of sardines and noodles.

Pulupandan and Ilog each got 30 bags of rice, 15 boxes of sardines and another 13 boxes of noodles.

EB Magalona was given 10 bags of rice and 10 boxes of sardines and noodles, while Bago City also received 10 bags of rice and eight boxes of noodles and sardines.

Meanwhile, Fourth District Representative Jeffrey Ferrer also provided relief assistance to Valladolid and San Enrique. (Capitol News/PIA) [top]
