Tagalog News: Bagong stratehiya sa importasyon inirerekomenda ng BoC

Manila (25 September) -- Upang matugunan ang enforcement gap ng vehicle smuggling, inirerekomenda ng Bureau of Customs (BoC) ang ilang stratehiya na inaasahan ding magpapabuti sa importing process ng mga produkto at machineries sa bansa.

Kabilang sa mga stratehiyang ito ay ang pag-inspeksiyun at ang pagseguro sa mga vehicle import permits, mga nabayarang buwis, at ang proper registration ng mga sasakyan sa mga kinauukulang ahensiya ng pamahalaan gaya ng BoC, Land Transportation Office at Bureau of Internal Revenue.

Kaugnay nito, ikakalat ng BoC ang unified Customized Vehicle Import Processing Systems (CVIPS) sa lahat ng mga major ports ng bansa na kinabibilangan ng Subic at ng Manila International Container Port (MICP) sa unang bahagi ng 2008 at ports ng Cebu, Davao at Cagayan de Oro naman sa ikalawang bahagi ng 2008.

Upang makontrol din ang umanoy "vulnerabilities" ng mga "paper-based" permits o yaong mga fake, tampered ng mga clearances mula sa ibang ahensiya, ipapatupad din ng BoC ang "accept electronic permits only" sa papamagitan ng paglikha ng "Electronic Permit and Clearance System" sa ilalim ng National Single Window.

Sa tulong ng mga proyektong ito, lalo pang mapapabuti ng mga finance agencies ang kanilang operasyon lalo na ang kanilang anti-smuggling operations. (ajph/PIA 12) [top]
