Isabela employees plant trees in nat'l road, capitol site
ILAGAN, Isabela (September 26) -- The provincial government in coordination with other government offices based in this province has conducted a tree planting activity here yesterday.
OIC Provincial Administrator Paul Fernandez said that the tree planting activity was conducted in observance of National Disaster and Preparedness Month and Family Week celebrations entire the country.
"The usual annual hanging of streamers during these national activities is being done, and in addition, we are conducting a tree planting activity along the national road and around the capitol site which is the highlight in the observance of this month's twin activity," the administrator said.
During the Flag raising ceremony yesterday, administrator Fernandez has also announced that employees will soon receive their 10% salary increase as soon as the Sangguniang Panlalawigan members will authorize the governor to execute an order allowing the giving of 10% increase of its employees. Earlier, the national government employees have received their 10% salary increase effective July this year.
At SP office, Vice-Governor Ramon Reyes said they will deliberate today the Local Chief Executive's proposal to grant a 10% salary increase of its employees and appropriate funds for the purpose.
In Ilagan town, the local government of Ilagan is spearheading a "Linis Estero" activity today as part of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources' - National Clean-Up Month.
The DENR-EMB and PENRO Isabela are the offices which supports the town's activity today participated in by other government offices, this is an environment advocacy of the environment department.
Local government and DENR officials of this town lead the "Linis Estero" campaign at the Baligatan Public Market as the area to clean-up then the group will proceed to Malalam river as another area to clean it up. (PIA Isabela) [top]
