Oro mayor leads PPP in Barangay 24

Cagayan de Oro City (26 September) -- CITY Mayor Constantino G. Jaraula will lead city government officials and employees in delivering basic city government services during the People to People Program (PPP) that will be held in Barangay 24 today, September 26.

The PPP in Brgy 24 will be Mayor Jaraula's first PPP in an urban barangay, and his second PPP since he assumed office in July, this year. With Mayor Jaraula in the holding of the PPP tomorrow are the members of the city council headed by Vice Mayor Vicente Y. Emano and the city hall employees.

Various services will be offered during the whole-day activity that includes free medical consultation; dental consultation; circumcision; dispersal of seedlings of vegetables, fruit and forest trees; nutritional feeding; late birth registration; livestock dispersal; animal vaccination and treatment; real property assessment; reading of different books and magazines; issuance of community tax certificates, among others.

One of the highlights of the PPP is the mass wedding ceremony where Mayor Jaraula is expected to solemnize the wedding of unwed couples who have been living together for at least five years.

The PPP is a regular program of the city government that aims to reach out to the people in the barangays by bringing basic government services right before their doorsteps.

Mayor Jaraula said that he will continue to implement the PPP which was started by former City Mayor Vicente Y. Emano as it truly address the need of the poor residents for fair and better access to basic government services which are normally offered at the City Hall.
