Silay City hall, council gear for paperless operation
Silay City, Negros Occ. (28 September) -- The Silay City government under the leadership of Jose Montelibano is pursuing a computerization program that will make operations of the City Council and the City Hall, paperless.
Vice Mayor Mark Golez said this is one of the important projects Silay City government is focusing on and it has a budget of P18 million.
The project will be implemented once his office receives the endorsement from the office of the mayor, he told PIA during a courtesy call made by visiting Government Information Officers to the vice-mayor.
According to Golez, deliberations in the council would be electronically recorded and transmitted to councilors and other officials through e-mail, thus eliminating the use of paper. "Everything will be paperless," he said. (PIA-LOL) [top]
