Bright child advocacy training set Oct. 5-6 in Dipolog

Dipolog City (28 September) -- A two-day training on the bright child program for government information officers is slated to be held here on Oct. 5-6.
About 50 information officers from the Local Government Units (LGUs), National Government Agencies (NGAs) and Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) based in Zamboanga del Norte are expected to participate in this training.
Topics to be tackled during the training include the bright child program, National Plan of Action for Children (NPAC): 2005-2010, methods of conducting a meeting and news writing for print and radio.
The bright child program aims to provide a holistic approach to child care programs being implemented by the LGUs and other government agencies. It also seeks to raise public awareness on the needs and requirements of Filipino children and motivate parents and caregivers to seek services provided by the different government agencies and partner organizations that will assist them raise bright children.
