DAR installs 86 farmer beneficiaries in Isabela town in Negros Occidental
Bacolod City (5 February) -- Eighty six farmer-beneficiaries in Hacienda Victoria, Isabela in Negros Occidental were installed recently by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
The property was acquired by DAR from Avina Agricultural Development Corporation and Wilson Jesena through the compulsory acquisition scheme of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program.
Isabela Mayor Renato Malabor said he is thankful that the turn over rites was peaceful and urged the beneficiaries to maximize their opportunities as landowners.
The mayor told the beneficiaries to utilize the land in the manner that it will bring about a significant change to improve the quality of your lives to become productive citizens of our country.
Officials who witnessed the installation were Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer Teresita Depeņoso, PARO I Gideon Yonque, Isabela Mayor Renato Malabor, MARO Jose Renato Defino, Isabel police chief Virgilio de la Cruz and Sgt. Arnold Pason of the 11th Infantry Battalion. (PIA/cad) [top]
