Bacolod PESO sends 355 workers abroad

Bacolod City (6 February) -- The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the City of Bacolod was able to send 355 workers abroad and facilitated the employment of 6,091 local workers, as of January this year.

The PESO, under the Tulay 2000 program, was also able to employ 180 differently-abled constituents by the local government of Bacolod.

For local employment of 6,091, 2,436 men and 3,655 women were secured. The Tulay 2000 for the differently-abled, employed 100 men and 80 women. Of the 355 workers sent abroad, 185 were men and 170 were women.

The PESO has been fully booked with principals looking for employees almost daily last month.
