Navotas to host kick-off rites for 12th National Awareness for Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation

Quezon City (10 February) -- The Navotas City Government will lead the kick-off ceremony for the 12th National Awareness for the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on Monday, February 11, at 7 am, at the city hall grounds.
Mayor Toby Tiangco, Deputy Executive Director Ma. Elena Caraballo of the Council for the Welfare of Children and the representative of Bishop Deogracias Yniguez are expected to join more than 200 day care children on the Monday flag ceremony where the kick off will take place.
Participants will be holding a motorcade right after the program. At 9 am, children will be treated to face painting and other art activities at the fourth floor of the city hall.
On Tuesday, February 12, the City Social Welfare and Development office will be showing "Good Boy" an animated film dealing with pedophilia and "Biboy", another animated feature teaching children how to detect and avoid sexual abuses at the Navotas Multi-purpose Hall. (PIA) [top]
