Tagalog News: 40% growth rate sa offshoring at outsourcing sector ng bansa - PGMA

Manila (13 February) -- Inihayag ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo na target ng pamahalaan ang 40% growth rate sa offshoring at outsourcing (O&O) sector ng bansa ngayong taon upang matugunan ang mataas na demand sa industriya.

Ito ay kasabay ng pagkilala ng International Data Corporation (IDC) sa Manila bilang pangalawang top Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) destination, matapos ang tatlong buwan kung saan kinilala ng National Outsourcing Association ng United Kingdom ang Pilipinas bilang "Offshoring Destination of the Year".

Binigyang diin ng pangulo na dahil sa masigasig na pagsisikap ng pamahalaan na mapa-unlad ang competitiveness ng bansa lalo na ang pagpapa-unlad sa angking galing ng mga Pilipino sa pagsasalita ng wikang Ingles, ang Pilipinas ay natalaga bilang most attractive offshoring destinations sa buong mundo.

Maliban dito tatlong bayan sa Pilipinas ang napasama sa "Top Ten Cities of the Future" kung saan nakuha ng Quezon City ang pang pitong pwesto, pangwalo naman ang Cebu at nakuha naman ng Davao City ang panghuling pwesto base sa isinagawang survey ng London Financial Times na naging daan upang ang bansa ay mapabilang sa major player ng offshoring at outsourcing (O&O) sa global market.
