3,000 Kauswagan residents avail of Oro PPP services

Cagayan de Oro City (14 February) -- More than 3,000 residents in barangay Kauswagan this city have availed of various basic services rendered by the city government during the People to People Program (PPP) held there today.

During the city government's one-stop community outreach program spearheaded by City Mayor COnstantino G. Jaraula, 1,400 patients received free medical consultation and medicines while 201 availed of dental services and 23 boys were circumcised.

A total of 760 residents in barangay Kauswagan also availed of supplemental feeding with 760 persons while another 300 families each took home one-kilo of rice as part of the city's rice assistance program.

The Public Attorney's Office (PAO) also joined in the PPP as it served 32 clients who sought free legal advises and opinions while 27 men and kids got free haircut provided by the Cagayan de Oro City Police Office's "Operation Paguwapo" aside from giving candies, cookies and noodles to 50 kids.

On veterinary and agricultural services, 41 dog owners availed of rabies vaccination and deworming while 200 seedlings of grafted mango and jackfruit and 400 packs of seeds of okra, pechay, kangkong and pole sitao were distributed to farmers.

More than 30 pupils and kids also read books and learning materials while traffic enforcers distributed flyers and leaflets on basic traffic rules and programs during the activity.

The highlight of the PPP was the mass wedding of 44 unwed couples administered by Mayor Jaraula and Vice Mayor Vicente Y. Emano as witnessed by Kauswagan barangay chairman Romy Beja and city councilors Adrian Barba, Reynaldo Advincula, Dante Pajo, Aaron Neri, Marycor Calizo, Alfonso Goking, President Elipe and Ramon Tabor.
