DAR XI gets new director

Davao City (15 February) -- The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Region XI has a new regional director in the person of Datu Yusoph B. Mama.

Director Mama was the director of Region VII who assumed the post as director of Region XI by virtue of Special Order No.34 dated January 16, 2008 issued by Secretary Nasser C. Pangandaman.

The order was in line with the re-assignment of field officials to enhance their performance and to ensure a more effective and efficient implementation of the current directions and thrusts of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

He replaced Director Rodolfo Inson who will take over Region VII.

Director Mama is a graduate of the Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City, a consistent scholar who earned a degree on International Relation.

From the lost list of his career experience, it is noteworthy to mention that Mama was once a Philippine foreign trade representative based at the Philippine Embassy in Nigeria and Austria. He was also an economic adviser to the International Atomic Energy Agency at the United Nations in Vienna, Austria.

During the turn over ceremony, Director Mama was accorded by DAR XI employees with hearty and cordial welcome with assurance of full support and cooperation under his management.

Director mama in his message to DAR employees during the simple turn-over ceremony held at Grand Men Seng hotel this City, said that like any other directors, he is concerned much about unity in the organization.

He believes that in oneness it would result to a more productive and efficient delivery of public service particularly in the implementation of the program. (DAR XI-PIA XI) [top]
