NVizcaya LTO ups collection

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya (February 15) -- Generated collections and fees by the Land Transportation Office in this province increased in year 2007 compared to year 2006, officials here said.

Claro Labitoria, LTO district head said their collection for 2007 went at P33,904,980.15 while their collection for 2006 was noted at P32,207,156.40.

"The increase in our collections can be attributed to our intensified operations on unregistered vehicles and advocacy among vehicle owners, drivers and operators," Labitoria told PIA.

The source of their collection, he said was from the registered moving vehicles classified as Private such as light car, medium car, heavy car, sports utility vehicle, truck, truck bus, motorcycle, trailer low bed, and trailer high bed; Government such as light, medium, sports utility vehicle, utility vehicle, truck, bus, motorcycle and trailer high bed and Vehicles for hire such as utility vehicles, truck, truck bus, tricycle and trailer high bed.

Labitoria said their accomplishment is anchored on the LTO vision as a model agency showcasing excellent and quality public service for a progressive land transport sector and its mission to work towards the rationalization of the transport services and facilities and implement effectively the various transportation laws, rules and regulations in partnership with other government agencies, business sector, civil society and other stakeholders.
