PLCPD to conduct seminar for media practitioners
General Santos City (15 February) -- The Philippine Legislators Committee on Population and Development Foundation Inc. (PLCPD) will spearhead a seminar entitled: "Exploring Population, Health and Environment Linkages" to some 20 media practitioners in this city on March10-12, 2008.
PLCPD Director Ramon San Pascual disclosed that the seminar aims to increase the knowledge, skills, and interests of media in reporting population, health and environment issues. He said the seminar is exclusive for Mindanao based journalists.
PLCPD is a non-government organization of district representatives and senators pushing for population and human development legislation. It is currently the secretariat head of the Population, Health and Environment (PHE) Network, a broad coalition actively promoting the links between population, health and environment and utilizing this lens in public policy and program implementation.
