PIA Press Release

Cash prizes up for grabs in PhilHealth's promo

by Rachelle M. Nessia

Dumaguete City (21 February) -- The regional office of PhilHealth in Region 7 is set to give away a total of P50,000 in cash and gift items to PhilHealth members in its Member-Get-Member promo.

The local PhilHealth office re-launched the Member-Get-Member promo wherein prizes will be given away to members who can recruit the most number of individuals into PhilHealth's Individually-Paying Program (IPP).

In a recent Kapihan forum conducted by the Philippine Information Agency, Chief Social Insurance Officer Maritess Que of PhilHealth-Dumaguete disclosed that for each calendar quarter, 13 PhilHealth members will win prizes for successfully recruiting and enrolling the most number of individually-paying members into PhilHealth.

The top three recruiters will take home cash prizes while ten consolation prize winners will receive gift items from PhilHealth.

The promo is open to all active PhilHealth members and runs from January 1 to September 30, 2008.

Thirteen winners each from the provinces of Cebu, Bohol and Negros Oriental will be awarded each quarter.

To join, the member-recruiter must be an active PhilHealth member. For paying member-recruiters, proof of his updated premium payment must be presented (MI-5/official receipt for individually-paying members and RF-1 and ME-5 for employed members) together with the processed M1b, member data record and MI-5/official receipt of his new recruits.

Non-paying member-recruiters are required to bring the non-paying member ID or MDR (if lifetime member) or the family health card, member data record or certificate of eligibility (if sponsored member) and present them together with the documents of the new recruits.

PhilHealth members who are interested to join the promo can register their entry at the PhilHealth service offices in Dumaguete City and Bais City.

Metro Cebu participants may register their entry at the membership section of PhilHealth regional office at the 6th floor of Golden Peak Hotel along Gorordo Avenue or at the 2nd level of SM City-Cebu.

For north Cebu, registration is at the PhilHealth service office in Danao City and for south Cebu, the Carcar City service office at Brgy. Perrelos.

Entries from Bohol may be submitted at the service office in Tagbilaran City and Talibon. (PIA/RMN) [top]
