USEP-CGBE hosts AIM videocon orientation on productivity course for Davao participants
Davao City (29 February) -- The University of Southern Philippines College of Governance, Business and Economics (USEP-CGBE) will coordinate the Asian Institute of Management's (AIM) orientation of its course Blended Productivity & Quality at the National Level for participants from Davao City.
The activity will be held on March 3, 2008, 2:00 to 3:00pm at the USEP Knowledge for Development Center in the USEP Obrero campus. Registration is Free.
The orientation/promotion will be held via videoconference among AIM Makati City, Silliman University of Southeastern Philippines. Its goal is to provide an overview of the course to potential participants from the Cities of Manila, Dumagueste and Davao.
It also aims to: a) promote awareness on the importance of Productivity and Quality Awareness and its role in the raising the productivity, quality and competitiveness of Philippine industries, b) discuss in detail the modules of the blended format of the course, 3) provide a venue for the promotion of blended learning as an effective and efficient teaching pedagony, and 4) measure other learning needs of the prospective participants in order to improve the blended learning course prior to its actual delivery.
The P and Q course is designed to examine the impact of productivity and quality on the national economy using existing relevant studies to include discussions on policy implications. It considers macro and micro policies incorporating P and Q perspective and/or improvement efforts that have impact on the level of the country's competitiveness.
It will be delivered via blended learning using the facilities of the Global Development Learning network (GDLN) through the Asian Institute of Management - World Bank Development Resources Center.
