SIFI holds medical mission in Negros town

Bacolod City (29 February) -- The Sugar Industry Foundation Inc. (SIFI) conducted its 51st medical and dental mission in Brgy. Pandanon Silos, Murcia, Negros, Occidental recently.

Various doctors and dentists did the consultation and tooth extractions.

A total of 302 sugar farm workers beneficiaries and their dependents from nearby haciendas availed of free medical consultations, dental extractions and free medicines.

The common sicknesses consulted were upper respiratory tract infection, dyspepsia, cough and colds, fever, intestinal parasitism, pneumonia among children, hypertension, hyperacidity, LBM, arthritis, gastritis, dermatitis, urinary tract infection and anemia for adults.

The mission team was headed by Neolita Alminaza, program coordinator of SIFI, and supported by SIFI staff. (PIA/cad) [top]
