Iligan City (5 August) -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Iligan City/Lanao del Norte Provincial Office, through the active participation of the Local Price Coordinating Council of Iligan City (LPCC), has given advisory on the price of flour (for June & July 2008)- the prevailing price of hard flour ranges from P915.00 (Sun-Moon & General brands) and P900.00 (Kutitap), as compared to its price three months ago of P939.00 and P925, respectively.
While the prevailing price of soft flour is P815.00 (Goldstar brand) and P805.00 (Isla brand), as compared to P840.00 and P830.00 three months ago.
Annabelle B. Encabo, chief, Business Regulations & Consumer Welfare Division of DTI Iligan said that both parties- the supplier and the consumers are not affected because if we consider the trend, it has gone down to its price in June and July of this year.
Our weekly monitoring, through the LPCC, has increased awareness of the consumers as to movement of prices in all commodities, we take hold of the broadcast media in giving advisory to the consuming public, said Encabo. (PIA Iligan) [top]
