Water system, coordinating center inaugurated in Sulu
Sulu (5 August) -- Two military-initiated projects under the development program of Joint Special Operations Task Force- Philippines Task Force-Sulu were inaugurated here on Thursday.
The water system project at Brgy Asturias and the area coordinating center at Brgy Walled City, both in Jolo, were turned over to the residents represented by their respective barangay and municipal officials.
In strong partnership with the Joint Task Force Comet and the Provincial Government, the US government assists the Philippine Government in its peace and development concerns, which are currently making remarkable progress.
With JTFC Commander M/Gen Juancho M Sabban, and Joint Special Operations Task Force-Sulu Commander Maj Joseph Mouer, Provincial Gov. Sakur Tan led the ribbon cutting ceremonies.
The ribbon-cutting ceremonies for the two projects were held with the residents, barangay and municipal officials.
JTFC Commander M/Gen Sabban reminds the people of their responsibility in the maintainance and proper use of the said infrastructures.
In behalf of the people of Sulu, Gov. Tan expressed appreciation for the military's relentless efforts, meant to benefit the province.
