Bacolod's new government center attractive to investors, say execs
Bacolod City (6 August) -- Prior to its grand opening soon, Bacolod City's New Government Center (NGC) is already serving its purpose hosting several engagements and meetings.
Recently, the City Development Council (CDC) held its official meeting for the first time at the New Government Center (NGC).
The meeting was presided by City Mayor Evelio Leonardia which discussed updates on the Comprehensive Land Use Plan 2001 to 2010, New Tax Ordinance and the Community-based Monitoring System (CBMS).
Projects for realignment and other priority projects were also taken up. The proposed Annual Investment Plan for 2009 was brought up, among other topics.
Eugene Salvacion, President of the Association of Disabled Persons (ADP)– Bacolod and a member of the CDC for Non-Government Organizations, said that the New Government Center is a blessing realized after many years. It is a landmark for every Bacoleño to be proud of", he said.
Lowell Raner, President of the ADP Incorporated, said that the NGC is accessible to disabled persons.
Brgy. 40 Punong Barangay Hermilo Lizares who attended the meeting said that the NGC is very presentable for the investors.
Jet Li, President of the Philippine Chinese Chamber of Commerce Incorporated said that the NGC is a beautiful edifice 'inside and outside'. "All Bacolodnons should be proud of the NGC," Li added. (CMO/PIA/EAD) [top]
