PIA Press Release

PSupt Wycoco is new RTMO-13 reg'l chief

by Pedring R. Santosidad

Butuan City (6 August) -- The Regional Traffic Management Office (RTMO) of Caraga Region based in this city, has a new Regional Chief in the person of P/Supt. Edgardo Wycoco who is from Manila while his predecessor, P/Supt. Vladimir Kahulugan will be assigned to the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and will hold the same position as Highway Regional Chief.

This was learned from PRO-13 Chief of Staff Samuel Mahusay Yordan during the fitting turnover ceremony held at this office, and who also read the message of PNP Regional Director, Jaime Milla, which described the incoming Highway Chief.

P/Supt Wycoco who is the younger brother of the late NBI Director Reynaldo Wycoco, is a graduate of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) and a competent and devoted police officer. He has an excellent track record while assigned in different places especially in Davao, the message stated.

Yordan also spoke well of the outgoing Highway Chief, P/Supt. Kahulugan who has a very good performance in the recovery of stolen vehicles in the Caraga Region and a disciplined police officer who worked hard to protect his untainted image and called him the "fight-ingest" PNP officer who renders services without hesitation in the implementation of the rules and regulations of the agency, Yordan elaborated.

In other developments, PNP 13 Chief of Staff Yordan, challenged the Highway Patrol group to monitor and to be vigilant in safeguarding both commuters and passengers, against highway holdups and robbery in passenger buses, he said. Also present during the turnover ceremony were: P/Insp. Salagantin of Agusan del Norte; SPO3 Aristan of Surigao City; SPO3 Miranda of Surigao del Sur; SPO3 Jose Llanes Shiroma, Jr., adjudged as Best Traffic Enforcer nationwide.
