Capiz top cop commends outstanding 'Mamang Pulis'

Roxas City (7 August) -- Capiz Police Director Senior Supt. Josepheus Angan has already presented at least 50 commendations to recognize the good work and accomplishments Mamang Pulis and Aleng Pulis in the province.

The commendations were awarded during the Capiz Police Provincial Office's (CPPO) Monday's awarding ceremony that is graced by usually invited government heads.

The recognition is in line with S/Supt. Angan's intensified police operations since he assumed the province's top police post last July 2.

During his first command conference, S/Supt. Angan has directed all group directors and chiefs of police (COP) of different city/municipal police stations to intensify police operations in the province.

"I directed all COPs to launch three police operations per week. More police operations will mean more accomplishments and will eventually lead to higher performance rating for the 2nd Semester of 2008, he was quoted in a CPPO press release.

It has been noted that Roxas City Police Station got the highest number of operations conducted for the month of July 2008 followed by the Provincial Special Operations Group (PSOG) of Capiz Police Provincial Office, the article added.

A project dubbed "Isugid kay PD" thru telephone hotline number 6211-249 was also launched in addition to the on-going Police Community Relations activities particularly on anti criminality and illegal drugs symposium and directives to intensify operation against illegal activities to deter crime occurrence.
