Negros retirees elect new set of officers
Dumaguete City (7 August) -- A newly organized Oriental Negros Separated Retirees Association (ONUSRA) has elected its new set of officers of retired men from the three major branches of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP).
Retired Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Superintendent Constantino Sayson, who at one time was a Provincial Director of PNP of Negros Oriental was re-elected president of ONUSRA.
Other officers include Retired Philippine Army Brig. Gen. Jose Valencia as vice-president; Insp Jose Inte, secretary; BJMP Police Insp. Jesse Alojado as treasurer; Police Sr. Inspector Levi Dorado and Sr. Insp Rolando Patricio as auditors; Army 2nd Lt. Rolando Columna, public relations officer; PNP provincial director Chief Supt Marciano del Mar and Police Insp. Anecito Saluna as board of directors.
ONUSRA is composed of retirees from PNP, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Fire Department. It is aimed at providing a forum for the AFP retires' concern while promoting their social well-being.
The induction of officers is scheduled to be held on September 6, 2008 in Cangmating, Sibulan town. (PIA/JCT) [top]
