Tagalog News: PIACAT-VAWC at C/MIACAT-VAWC palalakasin

Lucena City (13 August) -- Ang pagpapalakas ng Provincial Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Women and Children (PIACAT-VAWC) at ng City / Municipal Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking in Person and Violence Against Women and Children (C/MIACAT-VAWC) ay isa sa mga programang ipinatutupad ngayon ng Pamahalaang Panlalawigan ng Quezon sa pamamagitan ng Provincial Gender and Development Office na pinamamahalaan ni Gng. Ofelia Palayan.

Ito ang nabatid ng Philippine Information Agency (PIA-Quezon) sa ginanap na pagpupulong ng Provincial Gender and Development Council at ng PIACAT-VAWC at C/MIACAT-VAWC sa tanggapan ng punong lalawigan sa lungsod na ito kamakailan.

Nabatid sa nasabing pulong na isa sa nilalayon ng pagpapalakas ng mga komitiba na malabanan at mapigilan ang pagdami ng mga kaso ng trafficking in person gayundin ang mga kaso ng pang- aabuso sa mga kababaihan at maging sa mga kabataan na nagiging problema ngayon hindi lamang sa Pilipinas kundi sa buong mundo. Ang pulong ay dinaluhan din ng mga Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers mula sa iba't-ibang bayan ng lalawigan ng Quezon na nag-ulat ng kanilang mga aktibidad na may kaugnayan sa R.A 9208 at R.A 9202.

Ito ay alinsunod din sa Executive Order No. 33 na nilagdaan ni Quezon Governor Rafael P. Nantes na siyang chairperson ng Quezon Provincial Inter-Agency Committee Against Trafficking in Persons and Violence Against Women and Children samantalang si Provincial Administrator Aries Flores naman ang Vice Chairperson.

Sa ilalim ng Executive Order No. 33, ang mga ahensiyang miyembro ng nasabing komitiba na siyang tutulong sa pagpapatupad ng mga programa ay ang mga sumusunod: Provincial Prosecution, DOJ; Provincial Planning Office; Provincial Director, DILG; Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO); Provincial Health Office (PHO); Provincial Director, PNP; Provincial Employment and Services Office (PESO); Provincial Gender and Development Office; Provincial Attorney's Office; Chairperson on the Committee on Women, Children and Family of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan; Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA); Commission on Human Rights (CHR); Philippine Information Agency (PIA); Philippine National Police (PNP); Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE); Department of Education (DepEd); National Bureau of Investigation (NBI); Yakap sa Kaunlaran ng Bata; National Statistics Office (NSO) at Philippines Against Children Trafficking.
