Blood donors month ends in Negros Occidental
Bacolod City (13 August) -- The Negros Occidental Health Office, in coordination with the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital(CLMMRH) Blood Bank Center, recently culminated the Blood Donor's Month on the theme, "Once Is Not Enough, Donate Blood Regularly," at the Social Hall of the Old Provincial Capitol Building.
A total of 56 units of blood were collected from the 62 donors who were screened prior to donating their blood.
Trophies and certificates were distributed to top 10 Blood Galloners of Negros Occidental and top 10 Local Government Unit's Highest Contibutors of Blood.
Eva Chua, retired employee of the PHO received a Lifetime Achievement award for pioneering the Provincial Voluntary Blood Services Program of the province.
Ronilo Isuga and Roger Anjao, drivers of the PHO and CLMMRH also received special awards for their support to the program. (PIA/cad) [top]
