Tagalog News: Pilipinas at East Timor lumagda sa tatlong kasunduan

Manila (13 August) -- Nilagdaan na ng Democratic Republic ng Timor Leste (Silangang Timor) at ng Pilipinas ang tatlong kasunduan sa edukasyon, marine at fisheries, at diplomat training and development.

Dinaluhan ni Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at East Timor President Jose Ramos Horta ang paglalagda sa tatlong kasunduan sa isang simpleng seremonya na ginanap sa Palasyo ng Malacaņang.

Unang napagkasunduan ang Memorandum of Agreement sa Academic Cooperation na magpapatibay sa kooperasyon at mutual assistance sa pagitan ng Pilipinas at Timor Leste lalo na sa pagtustos para sa edukasyon at professional training.

Napapaloob sa MOA ang pagpapaunlad sa academic networking and exchanges gayun din ang reciprocal access sa mga matataas na institusyong pang-edukasyon; pagpapalit ng mga academic staff, mga guro, mga bihasa at mga estudyante; reciprocal study visits, research grants o mga iskolarship; pag-eensayo ng mga educational administrators at teaching personnels; at pagpapalitan ng impormasyon sa edukasyon at training systems.

Kasama sa mga pumirma sa nasabing kasunduan sina Comission on Higher Education (CHED) chairman Nona Ricafort para sa Pilipinas at Ambassador Francisco Cepeda para sa Timor Leste. (apple/PIA 12) [top]
