November 14 is deadline for entries to comics scriptwriting contest on migration
Tacloban City (November 3) -- The deadline for the submission of entries for the Comics Scriptwriting Contest on Migration is at 5:00 o’clock in the afternoon of November 14, 2008.
This is the reminder of the Commission on Filipino Overseas – Task Force Against Human Trafficking to all interested individuals and scriptwriters.
Filipinos residing in the Philippines or overseas, except the CFO Task Force Against Human Trafficking personnel, are free to join the contest.
The contest rules provide that the stories must revolve around on any of the given subject areas such as trafficking, intermarriage, overseas Filipino workers and irregular migrants, and other issues relevant to Philippine migration.
Story/ies must be predominantly written in Filipino with selective use of English if necessary, in script format, either handwritten or computerized, single-spaced on 8.5 x 11 bond paper with one-inch margins on all sides and appropriate pagination. If computer-typed, use 12 pt. Times New Roman/Arial. Hard and soft copies of entries must be submitted.
Entries should clearly indicate the chosen pseudonym of the contestants written as a header at the upper left side of each page. All stories must be at least six (6) pages but no more than ten (10) pages in length.
According to the CFO, not more than six stories will be chosen from the entries. Winning entries will be awarded with a cash prize of ten thousand pesos each.
All submissions must have a fully accomplished entry form which may be downloaded from www.cfo.gov.ph.
