Tagalog News: 20th Local Peace and Security Assembly ginanap

Manila (6 November) -- SA ika-20th Local Peace and Security Assembly (LPSA) na ginaganap sa Subic, Zambales, si Pangulong Arroyo ang naging keynote speaker sa pagtitipong ito ng mga opisyal ng lokal na pamahalaan at iba pang stakeholders na inaasahang makapagbuo ng mga hakbang upang tugunan ang iba't-ibang hamon at balakid sa pagsulong ng peace and development

Mahigit sampung LPSA ang nauna ng naisagawa sa buong bansa simula noong nakaraang taon na ginanap sa Tagbilaran City para sa Region 7.

Ang pagsasagawa ng mga serye ng LPSA ay isang hands-on strategy sa regional level. Kasama ng national government ang ang mga local na pamahalaan, komunidad at iba pang stakeholders sa pagbuo ng action agenda upang makamit ang peace and development sa pamamagitan ng multi-sectoral conferece-workshop.

Mahigit 200 partisipante na binubuo ng mga miyembro ng gabinete ni Pangulong Arroyo, mga congressman, governors, mayors, AFP at PNP commanders at mga kilalang lider ng civil society, business groups, religious at academe sektor at nga indigenous people ang dumalo sa nasabing LPSA.
