Responsible parenting campaign launched in Bago City

Negros Occ. (10 November) -- The City of Bago with the City Population Office recently launched the Responsible Parenting Movement to promote responsible parenthood and natural family planning.

The objective of the program is to empower Filipino families through responsible parenting to make couples aware of their basic responsibilities as parents.

It also aims to awaken their sense of responsibilities towards their families, neighbors, community and nation and to consider responsible parenting as a way of life towards the attainment of sustainable human development.

Responsible Parenting Movement (RPM) composed of married couples of child bearing age who want to practice birth spacing through natural family planning.

An RPM congress was recently held attended by couples who enrolled in RPM classes organized by Councilor Bernadette Somcio as speaker.

Discussed were the basic concepts of Responsible Parenting as practiced by both husband and wife in their relationship with their children. The conduct of RPM classes is aimed at achieving a happy, healthy, empowered and productive Filipino families. (PIA-LOL) [top]
