Tagalog News: SIP nagsasagawa ng programa para sa mga rebeldeng sumuko

Koronadal City (12 November) -- Patuloy na nagsasagawa ng mga hakbang ang Social Integration Program (SIP) ng pamahalaan upang mahikayat nito ang mga miyembro ng rebelde at komunistang grupo na bumalik na sa lipunan.

Kamakailan lamang, nakompleto na ng apatnapu't-apat (44) na dating miyembro ng New People's Army (NPA) ang kanilang livelihood training bilang bahagi ng SIP sa ilalim ng Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP).

Ang nabanggit na pagsasanay ay nagbigay ng kaalaman sa mga ito higgil sa value formation, cooperative management, fruit-bearing tree planting techniques at vegetable at farm production.

Ayon kay OPAPP Secretary Hermogenes Esperon, naniniwala itong ang mga dating rebelde ay maaaring maging produktibong mamamayan lalo na kung mabibigyan ang mga ito ng pagkakataon.

Dagdag pa ni Esperon, ang pagkakaroon ng maunlad na komunidad ay maaaring makaudyok sa mas maraming rebelde na sumuko at ipatupad kung ano man ang nakasaad sa batas kung kaya't mahalaga umanong magkaroon ng maunlad ng bansa upang matulungan ang mga itong makapagbagong-buhay. (Lgtomas/PIA 12) [top]
