Barobo, Surigao del Sur police apprehend illegal fishing suspect

Butuan City (November 13) -- On Wednesday (November 12) at 8:30 in the morning at the Seawater of Barobo, Surigao del Sur, elements of Barobo Police Station led by PO3 Ariel P. Quinto together with Wenceslao M. Campos from the Department of Agriculture conducted seaborne patrol which resulted to the apprehension of the suspect identified as Eduardo Timogan, 50 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Asinan, Rizal, Barobo, Surigao del Sur.

Suspect was arrested for having been caught in possession and control five kilos of dynamited fish locally known as "Romahan", one unit paddleboat (Baroto), one quart cyanide, two spear gun and other fishing paraphernalia. Arrested person was brought to Barobo Police Station for documentation and filing of appropriate charge in court, while confiscated items were turned-over to the Department of Agriculture for proper disposition.
