2-day seminar on strategic management, IPR use by SMEs set November 17-18
Cebu City (November 13) -- A two-day seminar on the 'Strategic Management and Use of Intellectual Property Rights by Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)' is slated on November 17-18 at the Cebu City Waterfront Hotel by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) of the Philippines in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry-Region 7.
This seminar aims to enable SMEs to come up with basic strategies on how they can effectively manage and utilize the IP system to address their needs.
Experts from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the European Patent Office (EPO) and the United States Patent and Trade mark Office (USPTO will provide the necessary expertise and experience on the topics of the Seminar.
A strategic management of Intellectual Property Rights could address SME's core requirements in access to finance, access to markets and access to technology.
Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Intellectual Property (IP) Philippines and the Cebu GTH, Cebu FAME, Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines and San Carlos Seminary will be conducted after the seminar.
