P1 million set for skills training in 5th District of Negros Occidental
Bacolod City (18 November) -- Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo (Neg. Occ. 5D) has poured in P1 million for another round of skills training for his constituents in his district.
Through the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA), these training on welding and plumbing were made available to more than a hundred residents in his district.
Community technology-based skills training program are among the priority programs of Rep. Arroyo.
TESDA conducted an orientation to the trainees in Himamaylan and La Castellana, who will undergo training on welding this month.
The training on plumbing is ongoing at the Moises Padilla while the training on welding is in Hinigaran.
Rep. Arroyo gives importance in providing skills training to his constituents because this will help uplift their living conditions once they start working here and abroad. (PIA/cad) [top]
