Tagalog News: PGMA pinarangalan ang 200,000 spouses at miyembro ng immediate families

Manila (20 November) -- Binigyan ng Pangulong Gloria Macapagal Arroyo ang mahigit 200,000 spouses at miyembro ng immediate families ng member-drivers/conductors sa sampung (10) Metro Manila cooperatives ng P1.8 million bilang capital assistance para pag-papatayo ng mga ito ng kanilang sariling negosyo.

Kasama ng Pangulo si Presidential Management Staff Head Cerge Remonde at Transportation and Communication Secretary Leandro Mendoza sa pagbibigay ng walong tseke na nagkakahalaga ng P150,000 bawat isa at dalawang tseke na nagkakahalaga ng P300,000 bawat isa.

Ang Kamias Transport Services Cooperative, Pangkabuhayan Transport Services and Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Metro San Jose Transport Cooperative, Good Concept Transport Service Cooperative, Commonwealth Transport Service and Development Cooperative, Original Transport Services and Multi-Purpose Cooperative, Cazanova Transport Services Cooperative at GNAT Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative ay nakatanggap ng P150,000 check bawat isa.

Ang GMA Transport Service and Multi-Purpose Cooperative at GSIS Village Transport Service Cooperative ay nakatanggap naman ng P300,000 check bawat isa.

Ang "no interest, no collateral" capital assistance program ay naglalayong mabenepisyuhan ang mahigit 510,000 target beneficiaries sa buong bansa bilang bahagi ng government micro financing program na makabenepisyo sa mahigit 6.7 million small at medium enterprises.

Ang microfinance program ay isa lamang sa naisakatuparan ng Administrasyong Arroyo upang mapababa ang kahirapan sa pamamagitan ng entrepreneurship at pagpapatag ng pamumuhay ng mga mamamayan. (KAlbay/PIA 12) [top]
