Sheep and goat breeders organized in Negros Occidental
Bacolod City (24 November) -- Negros Occidental Governor Isidro Zayco swore into office the officers of the newly formed Sheep and Goat Breeders Association (SHEGOBA) of Negros Occidental in Bacolod City recently.
Inducted were Eugene Arnold Sison of Bacolod City as president; Bernard Javelosa-Himamaylan City, vice president; Karen Flores-Victorias City, secretary; and Brenda Ta-ala and Ephraim Manzano of Murcia as treasurer and PIO respectively.
The members underwent project orientation, site evaluation and seminar on goat management and diseases before they qualified as members of the association.
There are now 64 goat raisers in the twenty eight (28) local government units of the province, who are recipients of the Provincial Goat Genetic improvement project that is in line with the HEARTS PLUS Program of Gov. Isidro Zayco. (PIA/cad) [top]
