US Army donates 60 core shelters to victims of LMG atrocities
ICC kidapawan City (24 November) -- The United States Army donated materials for core shelters to some 60 families in Aleosan, North Cotabato whose houses were burned by the Lawless MILF Group members sometime in August and September of this year.
Captain Tyler Oliver, a civil military operations officer, US Army turned over the housing materials to the 60 family heads at the 40th Infantry Battalion headquarters, Aleosan, North Cotabato. Witnessing the ceremony were Governor Jesus Sacdalan, Mayor Loreto Cabaya, Jr.
Oliver told the beneficiaries that they are hoping the core shelter materials will help them build simple homes and start their lives anew.
The provincial government of North Cotabato and the Municipal Government of Aleosan will also assist in providing other needs of the victims such as food for work in constructing the shelters. (PIA 12) [top]
