Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya (25 November) -- The Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE) here recently gave more than P1 million to citrus farmers and for the mango processing center.
Pacifico Moralit, DOLE district manager said a funding assistance of more than P1 million was given to the Malabing Valley Citrus Farmers Cooperative(MVCFC) in Kasibu town while P.5 million was allotted for the establishment and operationalization of a mango processing plant in Aritao town.
Moralit said the financial assistance for the citrus farmers will be utilized to rehabilitate the vast citrus plantation in Malabing Valley, known as the citrus capital of the north.
