What good will political skirmishes do to RP economy?

Tacloban City (November 27) -- The fixation of some people to look at the negative and refuse to see the positive side of life is sometimes unfathomable.

It is funny that the same people who have been given the mandate to work for the good of the people, are the same people who are pushing the people to be angry and to defy the government.

What is most unbelievable is the obsession of some people to blame the President for everything that happens not according to their liking and for every Filipino's problems.

While criticisms are welcomed, there is a point when one begins thinking why some people keep on criticizing without offering any suggestion so as to improve the condition being criticized.

Perhaps, instead of fault-finding and finger pointing, it would be better if each and every government official will start examining his conscience and find ways to improve his service to the people.

Instead of grandstanding, instead of giving criticisms in the media, about alleged anomalies, the people will respect these detractors more, if they will instead file a case in the proper court and bring the culprit to justice.

Is there anything good, these political skirmishes and noise can do to the Philippine economy and to the standard of living of the Filipinos? The answer is a big NONE.

Instead, the political bickering will only weaken the economy once more and that is the reason why the people are no longer buying their allegations and accusations.

It's a pity that just when the Philippine economy is rosy and on the rise, some people are doing their best to pull the economy down, back to where it has been for decades.

The Filipino people is tired of all these "replays" of old issues such as the impeachment of the President. It is hoped that the detractors will learn to listen to the voice of the people clamoring for economic upliftment and better Philippines.

It is prayed that unity will prevail among all the government officials and the people. This is the only way to fulfill the dreams and visions for a Philippines as a better place to live in. (PIA 8) [top]
