Negros town inaugurates senior citizens center, library
Negros Occidental (27 November) -- More than 200 members of the Valladolid Federation of Senior Citizens witnessed the blessing and inauguration of the newly constructed Senior Citizens Center and Library at the public plaza of the Municipality of Valladolid, this province recently.
The P.5-M center and library was funded by Sen. Juan Miguel Zubiri with the support from the local government of Valladolid.
The ceremonial ribbon cutting followed by the blessing of the structures was led by Valladolid Mayor Romel Yogore and the local officials with Provincial Consultant Nestor Bayona representing Governor Isidro Zayco.
Bayona cited the local officials of the Municipality of Valladolid for the chance given to the senior citizens to be remembered and valued through the center.
"The young Negrenses should be proud and grateful to the senior citizens because it was through their effort that the young ones of today are doing well," Bayona added.
