Enriquez; 1 from Wadeford School in Kalibo, Maria Paulina L. Mayor; and 1 from Kalibo Pilot Elementary School (KPES), the only public school in the group - Joahnna Marie P. Iloreta.

According to the DOST, the Philippine Science High School was established through Republic Act 3661 and it is mandated to offer on a free scholarship basis a secondary course with emphasis on subjects pertaining to science with the end in view of preparing its students for careers in science and technology. From the first campus in Diliman, Quezon City in 1963, it has at present expanded into nine campuses nationwide.

The Davao and Iloilo campuses were created in 1988 and 1993 respectively, followed by that of Tacloban in 1994.

The PSHS System is an attached agency of the DOST. The highest policy making body of the PSHS System is the Board of Trustees with the DOST Secretary as Chairman. (PIA) [top]
