Cebuano News: PGMA giabi-abi ni Bahrain Prime Minister

Manila (5 February) -- Giabi-abi ni Bahrain Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa Salman Al Khalifa si Presidente Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo sa iyang pag-abot sa Royal Terminal sa Bahrain International Airport kinsa gikan mitambong sa 2009 World Economic Forum sa Davos, Switzerland.

Si Presidente nakigkita sa mga miyembro sa Filipino community sa Bahrain aron masayran ang kondisyon sa ilang pagpuyo ug panrabaho sa Bahrain.

Sumala pa sa talaan sa Philippine Embassy sa Manama, mokabat sa 45,000 ka mga overseas Filipino workers kon OFWs diin 83 kanila permanente na nga mga residente, 35,910 mga temporary migrants ug 4,045 irregular o undocumented workers.

Ang gidaghanon sa mga OFWs sa Bahrain padayon pa sa pagdaghan sukad maestablisar ang diplomatic relations sa duha ka mga nasud niadtong tuig 1978.

Si Prime Minister Shaikh Khalifa bukas alang sa mga OFWs sa Bahrain tungod sa ka mga kugihan ug pagka maayong motrabaho.

Dugang niini, gipresentar ni Presidente Arroyo ang 1,000 ka mga scholarship vouchers nga nagkantidad ug P5 milyones ubos sa GMA-CARES program sa AMA International University sa Bahrain alang sa school year 2009-2010. (PIA Biliran) [top]
