DAR Iloilo has new head

Iloilo City (10 February) -- The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Iloilo Provincial Office has a new Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO)since February 2.

Eberardo N. Erispe, who was formerly the PARO of DAR Capiz, replaced PARO Ricardo Fernandez who is now assigned in the province of Negros Occidental.

The simple turn-over ceremony held at St. Clement's Retreat House, Lapaz, Iloilo City was witnessed by the top officers of the DAR Regional Office in Western Visayas led by Regional Director Alexis Arsenal.

The reassignment of the DAR officials in the region was contained in Special Order No. 20 series of 2009 issued by Agrarian Reform Secretary Nasser C. Pangandaman last January 19, 2009.

During the turn-over ceremony, Erispe said he accept the new assignment without grumbling or rancor for he believe in the dictum that "we can't be good leaders unless we are good followers".

Erispe rose from the ranks when he first started his career with the department as Junior Statistician.

The other newly assigned PAROs are Regina Caspillo, formerly assigned in Guimaras for the province of Capiz and Teresita Depenoso formerly, PARO of Negros Occidental for Guimaras province. (DAR/PIA) [top]
