Tagalog News: Mga environment at energy projects ng pamahalaan pag-iisahin - Pangulo

Manila (10 February) -- Inihayag ng Pangulong Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo na ang lahat ng environment at energy projects ng pamahalaan na ipinatutupad sa ilalim ng Emergency Employment Program (EEP) ay pag-iisahin na lamang upang makapagbuo ng "Green Collar Jobs."

Sa kanyang talumpati sa ginanap na multi-sectoral summit na tinawag na "Joining the Hands Against the Global Crisis" binigyang-diin ng Pangulong Arroyo na ang hiring ng green collar job workers ay malaking tulong sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa sa ilalim ng P330 bilyong pisong Economic Resiliency Plan (ERP).

Sa ilalim naman ng Grassroots Entrepreneurs for Eco-Tourism (GREET) program ng Department of Tourism (DOT) ang pamahalaan ay mangangailangan ng mga manggagawa para sa coastal clean-up at bay watch projects.

Bahagi din ng programa ang jatropha planting at pagtatanim ng karagdagang niyog upang maseguro ang sapat na biofuel feedstock; LPG retrofitting ng mga tricycles at public utility vehicles (PUVs); barangay electrification gamit ang solar panels o hydro electric power grids. (Abbenal/PIA 12) [top]
