The PGSP encourages unemployed graduates to take 18 qualifications or short term courses for the province such as the following: Slaughtering, automotive servicing, building and wiring installation, technical drafting, shielded metal arc welding, refrigeration and airconditioning, consumer electronics services, food and beverage services, front office services, Barista or coffee makers, bartending, housekeeping, commercial cooking, health care services, massage therapy, computer hardware servicing and programming, driving, dressmaking.

"These courses or qualifications are in demand in the country and abroad," Doniego explained adding that the program aims to address structural employment and endemic poverty in the country.

She said it is also implemented to bring at least the average 330,000 graduates in the country each year.

Under the PGSP, scholars are given training costs or tuition fees depending on their preferred courses or qualifications; training support fund in the form of a P60.00 daily allowance and an assessment fee of P500.00. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
