OISCA donates ambulances, firetrucks to Zambo Norte
Dipolog City (18 February) -- The Organization of International Spiritual and Civic A (OISCA) recently turned-over three ambulances to ZaNorte Medical Center and two fire trucks to Dapitan City.
Hiroshi Ikeda, OISCA representative based in Dipolog City formally turned-over the vehicles to Governor Rolando E. Yebes and Vice Governor Francis H. Olvis at the
Zamboanga del Norte Medical Center.
The turnover ceremony was witnessed by some officials of the provincial government.
It was learned that the ambulances will be given to Liloy, Sergio Osmeņa and Sindangan towns which are identified as catchment area.
Toyota City in Japan donated the said vehicles through OISCA, but the provincial government shouldered the cost of transporting these vehicles from Japan to the province.
Meanwhile, Ikeda who was speaking on behalf of OISCA urged the provincial governor to go on with his "greening" the province program.
He recalled that earlier OISCA just taught young Japanese how to plant rice but later it focused on planting trees. (PF/PIA-ZN) [top]
