Tagalog News: Pagsugpo sa mga lifestyle-related diseases binigyang pansin

Koronadal City (20 February) -- Binigyang pansin kamakailan ang pagsugpo sa mga lifestyle-related diseases kasabay sa paglunsad ng "Healthy Lifestyle to the Max" sa lalawigan ng Sultan Kudarat.

Ang maproteksiyunan at mapangalagaan ang kalusugan ng bawat mamamayan sa pamamagitan ng pagtaguyod sa mga serbisyong pangkalusugan sa lalawigan ay malaking tulong upang maabot ang Millennium Development Goal Target No. 6 - ang pagpuksa sa HIV/Aids, Malaria at iba pang uri ng sakit.

Nakapaloob sa "HL to the Max" campaign ang mga programa at serbisyong nakatutok sa pagtaguyod ng healthy lifestyle at pag-iwas sa apat na tinaguriang mga kilalang Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs).

Ayon sa Department of Health (DOH), umaabot sa 35 million katao ang namamatay taun-taon sanhi ng naturang mga NCD o lifestyle related diseases tulad ng cardiovascular at chronic respiratory diseases, cancer at diabetes.

Ibinunyag naman ng Sultan Kudarat Provincial Health Office ang mga lifestyle-related diseases na nangungunang sanhi ng mortality sa buong lalawigan. Ito ay kinabibilangan ng renal/ kidney at coronary diseases, hypertension, cancer at diabetes.

Hinikayat naman ni Governor Teng Mangudadatu ang mahalagang papel ng mamamayan sa pakikiisa at pagsulong ng tamang nutrisyon at regular na ehersisyo upang magkaroon ng malusog na pamayanan. (PPDO-Sultan Kudarat/PIA 12) [top]
