Tuguegarao bingo winners elated over prizes
Tuguegarao City (5 January) -- The winners in the recently conducted Bingo Socials of the Cagayan Valley Association of Career Executives (CVACE) are now enjoying the use of their prize winnings like laptop computer, cellular phone, television, stand fan, rice dispenser and rice cooker.
Renneth Manicap, cashier of the Department of Budget and Management's regional office, said "it was sheer luck that I won the first prize, a laptop computer".
"It will not only be me who will use the unit but also my children. Laptop is a very useful gadget especially in this age of information technology," Manicap said.
Atty. Ma. Esperanza C. Banares, regional director of the Department of Trade and Industry, said "my new cellphone is among the top-of-the-line units of Nokia and it's wonderful using it".
Chief Insp. Alex Testado of the Bureau of Fire Protection won the third prize which is a Sanyo flat color TV.
The winners of consolation prizes were: Rosemarie Martin of the Department of Agriculture and Edralin dela Cruz of the Bureau of Treasury, both won a stand fan each; Regional Director Jovita P. Ayson of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Ferdinand Tumaliuan of the National Economic and Development Authority, for a rice dispenser each; and, Janet Mallonga of the Commission on Election and Vincent Soriano of the Metropolitan Tuguegarao Water District, for a rice cooker each.
The Association was able to generate 103,000 pesos in ticket sales and a net income of 52,165 pesos.
Regional Director Milagros Rimando of the NEDA regional office and the CVACE president, said the association has lined up projects and activities not only for the members but also its client-beneficiaries as part of its outreach program. (PSL/PIA 2) [top]
