9 NVizcaya villages get cars

by Ben Moses Ebreo

Diadi, Nueva Vizcaya (January 7) -- At least 9 barangays in this town received cars from Representative Carlos Padilla Wednesday to enhance and improve their mobility specially in remote areas.

Barangay captain Recto Peralta of barangay Belete here said the cars are a big help to them and for their constituents since they could hardly reach their official appointments and transactions on time because of the availability of sufficient mode of transportation.

"We are very thankful for these cars, they are a big help to us in reaching our other constituents on time," he said.

The cars, valued at P350,000.00 each was prioritized by the recipient barangay officials in a consultation which were requested from Representative Padilla through his Provincial Development Fund(PDF) coursed through the provincial government here.

Out of the 19 recipient barangays in this town, an initial number of 9 car units were issued Wednesday during a brief program attended by provincial, municipal and brangays officials.

The recipient barangays were Blete, Canarem, Bugnay, Namamparan, Duruarog, Villa Florentino, Decabacan, Escoting and Pinya.

Representative Padilla said other barangays are also set to get the same request this year to complete the distribution of mobility vehicles for the province's 275 barangays. (PIA NVizcaya) [top]
