Oro shuts down 2 restobars for operating sans permits
Cagayan de Oro City (13 January) -- City Hall has ordered the immediate closure of two (2) erring business establishments in Cagayan de Oro City for reportedly operating sans the necessary permits from the City Government.
Slapped with an immediate closure by virtue of City Mayor Constantino "Tinnex" Jaraula's Executive Order No. 2010 CGJ-001 are De Kalsada Resto Bar which is located along Dolores Street in Barangay 1 and the Nuwave Grill and Restaurant situated along Velez-San Agustin Streets, this city.
In his closure order, Mayor Jaraula pointed out that De Kalsada Resto Bar, owned by Jeremy Jonahmar Go Pelaez, was issued with a business permit as an eatery and beverages retailer, but not as a venue for live band performances.
Aside from this infraction, the establishment has been operating without building permit or occupancy permit based on the certification from the Office of the City Building Official, the City Chief Executive added.
On the other hand, it was found out that there is no record that shows that the establishment Nuwave Grill and Restaurant, operated by Raymundo Garan, was issued a business permit to operate as a bar, the Mayor's order states.
In addition to this, the establishment also operates without building permit or occupancy permit from the city government.
As this developed, the Cagayan de Oro City Police (COCPO), now under the new leadership of P/Sr. Supt. Benedicto Lopez, was tasked to serve the Mayor's closure order. (CIO-CdeO) [top]
